Comcast Advertising released a new platform which allows brands to generate television ads using AI. The media corporation partnered with Waymark, an AI startup centred around video production and ad creative.
The platform operates by accessing a brand’s website to gather information and creates a commercial based on the nature of the brand.
Aspects of the platform-generated commercial can be adjusted, including graphics, messaging, voiceovers, and the language used.
Brands can also create ads tailored for specific audiences or seasons.
In a press release, Comcast outlined how the new platform will help brands overcome common obstacles to ad production, eliminating the costliness and time commitment of tv ad production. Television ad production, the company includes, is an effective way for brands to reach target audiences.
The company shares that thousands of ads have been created since the launch of the platform.
The press release shared testimonies from businesses who reported more efficiency in ad creation using the platform.
Comcast Advertising additionally added a Media Solutions team to their company. This group is focused on making Comcast’s media capabilities more accessible for advertisers. This includes simplifying the buying process for media ranging from local television to streaming.
“AI is helping advertisers reach new potential, and the ability to create effective, high-quality video ads in minutes is a powerful shift.” says Hayden Gilmer, Vice President of Revenue at Waymark.
