Global agency WPP has announced a partnership with Stability AI, a UK-based AI company, to bolster AI-generated content for clients.
WPP said the partnership reflects its commitment to advancing their technology to align with the current state of the media industry, having increased its annual AI and technology investment to £300m, along with investment into Stability AI,
The agency says it plans to use Stability AI’s multimedia content creation models to promote brands, including for image, video, and audio formats.
As part of the partnership, Stability’s models will be integrated into WPP’s AI system, WPP Open. Stability AI will, in return, utilise WPP’s market insights to help expand the company’s reach.
The global agency said it hopes the collaboration will enable the creation of engaging content that stands out, among a growing demand for enticing visual content.
Mark Reed, chief executive officer of WPP, described how partnerships like these are important to the company as AI continues to take over the media and advertising industries.
“The advertising landscape is evolving quickly, and AI is at the heart of that evolution,” he said. “Our investment in Stability AI, alongside our increased annual investment of £300m in AI and technology through WPP Open, ensures WPP and our clients remain at the forefront of this new era of innovation.”
As part of the collaboration, WPP and Stability AI will also work on bringing their talent pools closer together, strengthening WPP’s in-house production and studio facilities and capabilities.
