X Releases Advertising Tools Powered by Grok 3

Grok

X (formerly Twitter) has introduced two new tools geared towards advertising automation on the social media platform.

The Elon Musk-owned Gen AI system Grok is powering the new features, ‘Prefill with Grok’ and ‘Analyse Campaign with Grok’.

‘Prefill with Grok’ is an ad-generation tool. Once users provide their brand website URL, Grok generates an ad draft, complete with image and headline suggestions aligned with the brand.

‘Analyse Campaign with Grok’, as the name suggests, analyses the insights of active campaigns. It monitors trends and data to provide users with suggestions on how to modify ad initiatives.

Musk’s Grok for Advertisers

The tools are powered by X’s AI chatbot, Grok, which answers questions by accessing information it finds on the platform. According to the company, the model, which was introduced in 2023, is said to produce “unfiltered answers”.

XAI, Musk’s wider AI company, recently released the latest Grok 3 model. This model, according to XAI, blends “strong reasoning with extensive pre-training knowledge.”

It contains complex problem-solving strategies that are said to mimic human skills.

Grok 3, however, received backlash from users shortly after its release. The model temporarily censored criticism of President Donald Trump and Musk, including statements that the pair spread misinformation.

Despite questions of Grok’s reliability, X continues to add features to simplify advertising processes.

The platform recently introduced ‘Quick Promote’, a tool which converts posts into ads for commission.

Each of the new features are aimed toward advertisers.
